Softcover, 746 pages, bw illustrations, Oslo 2003, used, dedication of the author
Oslo, 2003. Condition: Sehr gut, mit Widmung der Autorin an M. Henss. Original softcover binding, 746 pp., very numerous photos and drawings, fine condition. Highly important study on architecture, also important for early architecture of Tibet. The author lived for more than 10 years in Bhutan and visited all the described sites, however she also makes use of old, mostly unpublished photos by (i.a.) John Claude White and Eric Bailey. Although the printing quality of the photos might have been better, this is a most important source, which makes, also use for the first time, as far as we are aware, in a scientific context of Samuel Davis wonderful drawings from Bhutan of 1783.
